The key to efficient robotics usage is pre-sorting product distribution. Large, bulky goods that a normal conveyor system can mechanically sort reduce the amount of garbage the robot must sort. Moreover, the uniform distribution of garbage on the conveyor entering the robotic area enables the sensors to smoothly choose objects for the robotic arm to pick up and sort.

Since automated processes are too expensive to rebuild for each design change and upgrade, they must be highly adaptable and modular to adapt to new equipment. These new AI robots are mounted over conveyor belt systems and control spider-like arms equipped with grippers, visible-light cameras, and laser technology. The robot's flexible gripper allows it to handle different shapes and sizes, avoiding the requirement to resize waste before processing. The system uses algorithms to identify and target things as they pass along the conveyor belt and then take and toss them into the appropriate sorting bins at an average rate of 60 per minute.

Many sorts of garbage can be programmed into the robot's artificial intelligence computer, and a single arm is skilled at picking up to four distinct types of debris with high precision and up to 98 percent purity. Moreover, these robots can be designed to select only the most precious material and discard the remainder as waste.

The future of artificial intelligence is exceedingly close to being a reality, and the day is rapidly coming when waste processing will be automated. Robot pickers will separate waste, and AGVs will transfer bins of classified material to the compactor, where it will be spontaneously compacted and packed and then brought to the shipping docks, where an AGV will ship the trailer of an 18-wheeler efficiently.
