Each project has a different set of parameters and constraints, including permitting, access to facilities, production schedules etc. Because of these rigid constraints, flexibility is key. From expanding hours for a large pipeline project to be completed to helping meet production schedules for a massive transportation initiative being taken up in Metro Vancouver on a subway project, Headlands prides itself on being adaptable and helping solve any problem that may arise as each client/ project is different.

With their First Nations partners, Shxwha:y Village, revenue from these projects has built elder housing, residential housing, a health and wellness center, a new cultural center, and a new longhouse, which is in process. Headlands has also recently finished building local basketball courts in conjunction with the Vancouver Bandits Professional Basketball Team. In addition, they sponsor many local sports teams, including the UFV men’s soccer team.
As a partner with Shxwha:y Village, approximately one-half of its workforce consists of people from First Nations communities. Its extensive training and benefits programs have aided the communities in gaining exceptional skill sets.
